Job Description
The Project Manager will oversee the management of all renovation & construction projects for the organisation’s expansion. These projects include working on commercial factory/manufacturing spaces and retail outlets.
He/She is responsible for defining project scopes, objectives, plans, schedules, budgets and performance measuring criteria to ensure that the completion of project deliverables is in accordance with the required standards and expectations.
He/She will be required to handle commercial building Addition & Alteration (A&A) work. He/She also leads project reviews to identify synergies and areas of improvements.
He/She possesses strong planning and problem-solving skills. He/She is a good negotiator and can effectively liaise with different stakeholders to optimise project deliverables. He/She also demonstrates strong leadership abilities to effectively lead a team to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Establish the Project Budget and Project Schedule
- Lead the project team
- Effective implementation and successful completion of projects undertaken by the Company within schedule, cost and quality
- Effective management of each phase of the project from design to implementation to completion and to meet company’s requirements
- Manage project financial management and report on the progress of the projects to the Management
- Prepare comprehensive reports on the progress of construction/renovation and report on a regular basis to Management
- Manage communications, integration, and flow of design/project information
- Review proposed designs to identify if they remain consistent with the project brief
- Advise on procurement strategy, tender evaluation, and contractor selection
- Control, monitor and report on project progress
- Oversee work on-site strictly meeting targets
- Maintain project safety standards in accordance to ISO45001 standards
- Perform standards of workmanship that meet the project requirements that are consistent with the industry's best practices
- Provide comprehensive daily updates to the Management on project status
- Manage the handover process at completion
Requirements
- Have relevant experience in interior fit-out projects of a minimum of 2 years, experience in the F&B and/or Manufacturing industry preferred
- Have experience in Client, Contractor, Supplier, and Consultant management
- Effective in vital project scheduling knowledge
- Able to read detailed fit-out drawings/floor plans and have good knowledge of M&E works
- Detail-oriented and able to provide quality control reviews of documentation and must
- Proficient with Excel, as well as basic sketching ability. CAD knowledge is not necessary but a plus point
- Knowledge of Interior production standards, detailing, building materials, building codes and
- Interior construction means and methods will be a plus point
- Oral and written language skills in both English and Chinese, to coordinate with internal & external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure and tight timelines
- Due to work coordination, you may require some night supervision to oversee night renovation work or on the weekends/public holidays
