JOB SUMMARY, PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for market development and trading of Second-hand vessels, New Building and Offshore on the platform, including but not limited to dry bulk carriers, container ships, oil tankers, chemicals, LPG/LNG, yachts, etc.
- Basic the ship resale characteristic and business model, to provide ideas, suggestions for online ship resale process and improve user experience on the platform
- Lead the team to continuously increase the number of used ships for sale on the platform and allow potential buyers to have more option vessels
- Collect and review details of ships, the listed price and shipowner's background, improve the quality of ship information posted online.
- Conduct professional evaluation on the market value of the ships, to provide support for buyers and sellers in decision making process.
- Provide matchmaking services for buyers and sellers to negotiate price and contract terms, and encourage both parties to bridge their differences and reach a deal through online chat system
- Establish business partnership with major global ship financing institutions to provide financing services to shipowners as required
- Arrange ship survey and assist in issuing ship survey report
- Follow-up services related to the delivery of the vessel, including but not limited to the change of vessel class, nationality, repair and alteration, import and export procedures, insurance, crew arrangement, etc., to achieve the smooth delivery of the vessel
- To encourage Buyers to utilize follow-up services through the platform, including bunker, ship provision, spares, crew and other one-stop services
- Provide training, guidance , conduct assessment and other management work for the team members to improve the team effectiveness
- Assisted in formulating SNP marketing strategies , to improve the accuracy of marketing slogan and ensure overall effectiveness of the product promotion campaign
- Other tasks as assigned by management.
JOB SPECIFICATION / REQUIREMENT / COMPETENCY
- Practical operation and management experience in SNP process in a shipping company or Shipbroker company.
- Basic knowledge of Internet e-commerce, keen in IT process, and understand maritime e-commerce.
- Maintain extensive Shipping industry networks and customer resources
- Have a good reputation in the industry, with professional ethics, positive and open minded, good English and Chinese communication skills
- Recognize the fast-paced, goal-oriented corporate culture of Internet companies.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor degree or above, major in maritime/maritime management/shipping/maritime law, etc.
- More than 10 years maritime industry experience, at least 5 years is in Management position.
