Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
- Implement and oversee fire safety plans and procedures, ensuring compliance with local fire safety regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of building systems to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance or repair work.
- Support the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs for all M&E equipment.
- Assist in emergency response and crisis management activities, particularly related to fire safety and building systems failures.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the facilities team in areas of M&E expertise.
- Assist in budget preparation and cost management for M&E related expenditures.
- Keep abreast of the latest trends and best practices in facility management, especially concerning M&E and fire safety.
- Collaborate with the Site Facility Manager in planning and executing facility-related projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in facility management with a strong focus on M&E systems.
- Certified Fire Safety Manager or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental laws.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
