- To assist the business in managing of workplace safety, health and environment matter.
- To support the manager, or other person in charge at the assigned business unit or project for workplace safety, health and environment compliance.
- Ensuring business compliance with the WSH Act, pertinent Regulations, Approved Codes of Practice and Standards.
- Carry out compliance check, inspection, and audit to identify sub-standard practices, unsafe act and conditions, and to report such findings for a follow up.
- Identify hazards at the workplace and recommend reasonable and practical control measures to eliminate or reduce the risk.
- Review the risk assessment with the risk assessment team to ensure that the risk is mitigated and to ensure that the risk assessment is communicated to the work team.
- To implement and coordinate of safety programme at the workplace to raise awareness among workers.
- Conduct HSE training to be in line with current work activities and ensure execution of regular training sessions to maintain HSE awareness, including of HSE Orientation.
- Assist with the investigation of incident, accident, near misses and dangerous occurrence at the workplace and on the implementation of the remedial measures to prevent a recurrence.
- To maintain of the workplace safety, health and environment documentation.
- To assist relevant authorities such as MOM and NEA for any site inspection and audit.
- To assist external emergency agencies services such as SCDF and SPF, during an emergency.
- Ensure the emergency response plan is in place and that training is carried out accordingly.
- Liaise with project lead for on-job coordination, as to ensure high risk works are identified and the risk are mitigated.
- Any other duties and responsibility as assigned.
