Responsibilities:
1. Possess good knowledge of data centre operation tasks and duties.
2. Liaise with DC/Building landlord to ensure optimal operation of electricity, HVAC and monitoring environments within Mission Critical IT facilities in Data Centre and remote buildings.
3. Strong ability to support activities in data centre and computer rooms
4. Ensure data centre physical security procedures are followed strictly.
5. Prompt escalation of incidents following the standard incident response procedure & track till closure
6. To generate reports to management
Requirements:
1. Minimum 5 years Data Centre facility experience preferable in a team.
2. Experience working in a high-pressured environment with 24x7 on-call responsibilities
3. Strong understanding of incident, problem and change management procedures based on ITIL best practices
4. Experienced in supporting Data Centre vendors, out-sourcing vendors.
5. Ability to multi-task and proficient in Microsoft Office applications; Excel & PowerPoint
6. Good written and verbal communication skills
7. Highly motivated and self-driven
8. An analytical and inquiring mind to derive innovative solutions.
9. Ability to work independently and in a team
10. Must have experience working in data centre operations in financial institutions.
11. Familiarity with equipment requirements in Data Centre such as storage, servers and networking equipment such as routers, switches is a plus.
12. Familiar with Structured Cabling system and its related components.
