We are looking for a Java Technical Lead for our client, where in you'll have the opportunity to contribute to enterprise software development, working on challenging projects that require your expertise in Java /JEE. You will be leading and coaching software engineers as they navigate these projects.
Mandatory Skill-set
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology;
- At least 7 years of hands on technical experience in enterprise software development on Java Spring Boot and associated technologies;
- Strong skills in JPA and Hibernate;
- Strong familiarity with relational database concepts and hands-on SQL experience, preferably on MS SQL;
- Proficiency in using Git with a good understanding of Git workflow;
- Experience working in agile scrum teams and proficiency with productivity tools like Jira and Confluence;
- Self motivated and able to work independently;
- Has customer focused mindset to deliver high quality service;
- A good team player with strong collaboration and stakeholders management skills;
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
Desired Skill-set
- Exposure to Jenkins and Kubernetes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach software engineers in a supportive and transparent team environment;
- Work closely with developers to ensure quality software deliverables (e.g. user experience, reliability, maintainability, security and performance);
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level software solutions using Java Spring Boot;
- Implement and optimize data models using JPA and Hibernate for efficient data storage and retrieval;
- Write and optimize SQL queries on MS SQL databases to ensure data integrity and performance;
- Participate in agile scrum teams, contributing to the entire software development lifecycle;
- Utilize Git for version control, ensuring code integrity and team collaboration;
- Work with productivity tools such as Jira and Confluence to streamline project management and documentation;
- Contribute to the continuous integration and deployment processes, leveraging Jenkins and Kubernetes;
- Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned.
