Travel Retail Key Account Manager

Bring your account management capabilities to the table and help craft the way the LEGO Group engages with kids, families and adults in the APAC Travel Retail business!

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead account planning with strong Plans and data driven sales projections- this includes ownership of account flow and the various sales planning tools, inputs into overall S&OP process
  • Be like a business consultant to our customers, able to advise customers on business performance, insights from across the broader LEGO business, aid in forecasting upcoming top-SKUs)
  • Drive channel and store execution excellence from assortment listing excellence, inventory management, in-store merchandising, and Through-The-Line campaign execution
  • Lead overall contract renewal process including negotiations
  • Ensure Business-As-Usual tasks are done on a consistent & timely basis – CTT claims, data collation and analysis, Credit Limit simulations, timely POs from customers)
  • Adhoc problem solving

In this role, you would play a key role in helping LEGO accelerate our presence in the top airports across APAC. Being in a team of 3-4 people, there are opportunities to be creative and entrepreneurial as we build the business & category of toys in Travel Retail - to ultimately inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow.


As per Eric Maugein, LEGO Group’s APAC Regional President for Markets and Channels, “We want a presence across key airports in APAC,” and this is a role where you can directly drive impact to achieve this mission!


Do you have what it takes?

  • Minimum 5 years experience in key account management within the retail industry
  • Familiarity with duty-free shopping, airport retail, and other travel-related sales channels highly preferred, including but not limited to in-depth understanding of the travel/retail market dynamics and trends in the APAC region
  • Proven track record of successfully managing key accounts and driving sales growth.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in contractual development
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with well-rounded understanding of consumer goods business to develop insights to develop account plans and identify business opportunities
  • Independent, driven and a self-starter – able to navigate through ambiguity
  • Appreciates and values teamwork and mutual feedback in ways of working
  • Able to communicate well English and another APAC language in writing would be helpful
  • Flexibility to travel as needed within the APAC region

Please note: This is a permanent position based in our Singapore office. Our flexible working model allows employees to work 2 days/week from home (3 days in the office). Relocation support is not offered for this role.
