In this lab based role, you will manage the commercialization of Pringles flavors and plant transfer projects for the Snacks BU. You have a major impact on the company as a technical resource to various functions within the business and helps to drive growth via Flavor Innovation projects.
This is a regional role supporting Pringles across the AMEA region. Regular travel is required to the Pringles manufacturing plant in Malaysia, supplier facilities and other regional offices. This may include extended work hours and weekends.
HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Drive business growth
- Develop new or improved commercialization processes, focusing on improving product quality, process, margins and productivity. Development covers aspects such as technical feasibility commercial plans support and operational stability.
- Drive improvement in food testing methodology translating lab risk assessment prior to commercialization in plant (auto vs. manual testing method).
- Support trade market sample request for the AMEA region, coordinating with commercial teams and ensuring timely delivery of the product.
Innovation / Creativity
- Possess an innovative mindset in discovery, evaluation and application of new technilogies in commercialization process, R&D to impact existing, new and improved products with incrased efficiency on flavor application processes (lab and plant).
- Possess natural curiosity and demonstrate creative thinking.
Technical Expertise
- Provides technical direction as a Seasoning subject-matter-expert (SME) translating taste from lab and scaling to plant commercialization within a planned timeline.
- Act as an expert in scorecard development ensuring Pringles flavors are plant-friendly within minimal wastage upon commercialization.
- Provide support to Supply chain function on seasoning relared troubleshooting.
- Provide support to plant QA and planners acting as a technical SME for seasoning related matters (Shelf life, wastage audits etc).
- Work with suppliers and peers to enable recyclability of newly upscaled Pringles flavors.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
- Degree in Food Science, engineering or a related qualification.
- At least 3 years experience in the food R&D industry, ideally in seasoning creation and/or application.
- Strong interest and natural curiosity in the food manufacturing process.
- Understanding of R&D and operations and able to function effectively as a technical expert.
- Excellent communication ability and comfortable working with cross functional stakeholders (supply chain, regional management, peers).
