Descriptions:
As an Architect specializing in Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing complex cloud solutions. Your expertise in AWS will be instrumental in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of the environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining or administering system in the cloud environment.
- Administration, patching, installation and configuration of application software such as Tomcat, Nginx, Squid Proxy, SFTP , Tibco Web Focus and Rufus.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical cloud solutions. Ensure solutions meet performance, security, and compliance standards across AWS.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring the successful implementation. Mentor and coach junior architects and engineers.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure across AWS to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining high performance. Monitor and control cloud expenses.
- Implement and enforce security best practices, identity and access management, and compliance standards. Conduct security assessments and audits.
- Continuously monitor and improve the performance of multi-cloud systems. Implement scaling strategies to handle variable workloads in AWS.
- Identify and resolve complex technical issues in AWS environments, collaborating with support teams as needed.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of multi- cloud architectures, configurations, and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with AWS services, trends, and best practices to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is preferred. AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
- 7+- years of experience in cloud architecture, with a strong focus on AWS. Proven experience in designing and implementing large- scale cloud solutions.
- AWS Expertise: in-depth knowledge of AWS services, including but not limited to EC2 & S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM etc.
- AWS Architecture - Experience in AWS GCC (Government Cloud Compute) is a huge plus.
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, identity management, and compliance standards (e.g. HIPAA, GDPR) in AWS.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IAC) and automation tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash) and programming languages (e.g. Java, .NET) is advantageous.
- Experience in analyzing and closing vulnerability assessments for OS and Application Software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex technical challenges.
- Demonstrated leadership skills to lead technical teams and initiatives.
