The Tax team handles Income’s corporate tax and GST matters and ensures that Income meets all its tax obligations as a corporate citizen.
You will be covering the preparer role within the tax team to support key tax reporting work responsibilities during the contract period:
- Extraction and review of general ledger listing for purpose of preparation of the first full corporate tax returns of Income
- Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of tax computation
- Perform relevant reconciliations, controls and procedures to ensure accuracy and timely completion of tax reporting and operational tasks
- Investigate exceptions and engage with relevant internal and external parties to follow up on queries and address issues
- Ensure adherence to controls, compliance with relevant policies and procedures
- Research and implementation of tax reporting requirements
- Assistance with review of quarterly GST returns
- Participation in projects or other ad-hoc tasks as allocated
Requirements:
- University Degree in the Accounting or Business
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in tax reporting
- Prior experience in insurance tax will be an added advantage
- Strong tax knowledge, skills and experience in financial sector
- Strong communication, writing and interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively in a team environment to ensure timely and accurate preparation of the first full corporate tax computation for Income
- Support of review of quarterly GST filing
