OVERVIEW:

Sportradar are looking to bring in a seasoned leader with proven experience in building, developing, and scaling high performance sales teams in APAC, ideally within the sports betting and/or iGaming industry. As a region primed for huge growth, there is a particular focus on bringing sales leadership and excellence to the team. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Vice President, Head of Global Account Management based in London and work closely with the Executive Vice President, APAC on realising the company’s commercial strategy.

 

THE CHALLENGE:

  • Formulate and communicate ambitious sales plans for the region and lead your sales team through clarity of direction, focused actions, and team effort.

  • Be at the forefront of all revenue generation activities and work with the team to deliver exceptional account management and servicing.

  • Identify the appropriate client segmentation so your team is spending their time on servicing our biggest clients and growing high-value accounts.

  • Create a performance-driven culture by setting the right metrics that align with the company’s growth targets and business objectives.

  • Work with the team to cultivate a consistent pipeline of new leads and prospects to develop, and stay on top of the numbers to ensure that corrective actions are put in place to change course when things are not working.

  • Take responsibility for accurate forecasting and provide senior management with regular high-level sales updates for business planning and financial reporting.

  • Collaborate and work closely with different departments within the organisation, including Marketing, Product, Content and Finance.

  • Continuously develop the team’s knowledge of our products and services, and stay abreast of the latest market and industry developments, especially changes to licensing and regulations.

 

YOUR PROFILE:

  • You have a proven track record of managing and developing a sales team in Asia within the sports betting and/or iGaming industry.

  • A role model, showcasing both excellence and accountability; this starts with taking ultimate responsibility of your team’s performance and actions.

  • You are revenue-driven but recognise that the client’s needs come first, and will work with internal stakeholders to ensure that client satisfaction is a top priority.

  • You are always thinking ahead, anticipating risks and finding opportunities in crises. You thrive on ambiguity and are not afraid to challenge the status quo with novel ideas to complex problems.

  • You show a genuine interest in coaching and developing every member of your team, and proactively help them eliminate roadblocks and guide them in achieving their targets.

  • You will develop deep relationships with key clients in the region, becoming a trusted advisor whilst helping shape our product roadmap by sharing market insights and client feedback with management.

  • You are an excellent, influential communicator, able to adapt your communication style to different audiences and persuade others with convincing arguments and facts.
