Responsibilities
- Reviews material receiving reports and performs material receiving inspections
- Interprets and implements SWPPs, project specifications and procedures, applicable codes, and drawings to ensure that construction installation requirements are met
- Provides guidance to Field Engineering team for resolution of technical and constructability issues
- Performs progress and final quality and completeness inspections of Electrical, EEHA and Instrumentation installation
- Develops punch lists and monitors completion of punch items
- Ensures completed work packages and ITRs are submitted to Turnover
- Issues FMRs for purchase of permanent plant material
- Prepares Request for Information (RFI’s), Field Change Documents (FCD’s) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
- Collaborates with design engineering through to final disposition
- Coordinates with engineering to resolve E&I design and constructability issues
- Tracks and coordinates construction/ field engineering closure of E&I RFI’s/ FCD’s/ NCR’s
- Provides technical assistance to superintendents, field engineers, subcontractors, foremen, and craft professional
- Assists the development of People Based Quality (PBQ) training material, conduct PBQ surveys and training sessions
- Ensures that proper material storage exists at all Module Yard locations to ensure environmental protection
- Oversees Electrical and Instrumentation quantity take-off’s, control, verification and reporting installed quantities
- Completes Engineering Inspection Requests
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in a relevant engineering discipline is desired but may be waived if equivalent industry experience can be demonstrated
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Electrical, EHA and Instrumentation, with at least 2 years in an inspector role
- Experience with Electrical Hazardous Areas (EHA) and Australian Standards. Must demonstrate expert understanding and working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards
- Must have a certificate or Statement of Attainment from a Registered Training Organization (RTO) on competency unit: UEENEEM080A, or equivalent IECEx certification
- Experience in Module Yard LNG construction is preferred
- Understanding of applicable Bechtel work processes including Standard Work Process Procedures
- Knowledge of Universal Plant Viewer is preferred
- Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving ability
