Responsibilities:
- Reviews the commissioning plans and processes to ensure they are in line with the project standards and that the commissioning scope is clear and well-defined
- Executes and supervises dealings per commissioning guidelines and deadlines
- Prepares and keeps up-to-date the pre-commissioning and commissioning execution plans (including the schedule and the mobilization of personnel and equipment)
- Manages the execution of pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up
- Prepares the commissioning progress reports to the project management and the commissioning department
- Performs instrument calibration and troubleshooting
- Sets up and manages the commissioning and vendor teams
- Ensures incoming equipment meets the purchase specifications as well as arrangement for protection and maintenance of equipment and system
- Establishes a strong working relationship with various departments and plans, coordinates, and schedules the testing/ commissioning requirements with them as well as organising the logistics requirement of all operations
- Liaises with owners, class surveyors, and government bodies regarding project requirements
- Ensures all standard operating procedures, C&E, FMEA, etc. comply with specifications, quality standards, statutory and regulatory requirements
- Ensures timely completion of key milestones and project
Requirements:
- Degree in Instrumentation, or its equivalent from a recognized tertiary institute
- Min. 10 years of relevant working experience in FPSO/ FLNG conversion projects and comprehensive knowledge of the functionality of FPSO/ FLNG
- Possess working experience related to testing and calibration of FPSO/ FLNG instruments, DCS/ ICSS system knowledge, and networking
- Familiar with all the Vessel class regulations and codes
- Proven track record of hands-on working knowledge in FPSO/ FLNG conversion projects
- · Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- · Proactive, able to multi-task, and adaptable to a dynamic fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Extremely proficient with the testing procedures and knows the applicable rules and regulations of regulatory bodies very well
