Production Supervisor (internal title: Workshop Ops Supervisor) is responsible for planning , coordinating and organising work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing of products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications in manufacturing facility. Ensure that all customer orders meet requirements, delivery dates as well as quality and cost specifications. Enforce procedures and requirements in accordance with the Corporate policies while ensuring the safety and performance of all employees.
Job Responsibilities:
- Controlling Production and Process control to the applicable standards for overall manufacturing process as per Corporate Standards.
- Capacity and resource planning to meet daily, weekly and monthly production schedule.
- Establish method of manufacturing and determine tooling and fixturing required to produce quality parts efficiently.
- Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences and schedules to meet production goals.
- Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations coordinating process requirements with different functions.
- Evaluate productivity and review standard for recommended action.
- Implement lean tools and TPM on the shop floor.
- Identify training needs for operators and ensure training of personnels on production line, with respect to job, & safety.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and the company policies and procedures for Operators
- Direct and coordinate the activities of subordinates engaged in the production.
- Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists worker in solving work problems.
- Initiate or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Suggests changes in working condition and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department or work crew.
- Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
- Monitor, assess and take necessary actions to keep performance of team members as per expectated parameters.
- Perform various other duties assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job
Job Requirement:
- Comfortable working at Penjuru Pl, Jurong East area.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in the manufacturing sector.
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in team handling.
- Ability to effectively work with employees and supervisors.
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Should be able to work and interact with all level of personnel.
- Capable to perform basic math operations and trigonometry.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
PREFERRED
- Prior experience of working with oil & gas industry manufacturing
- Prior experience of working with complex mechanical assembly involving machined components.
- Lean Manufacturing Knowledge
