Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair food processing equipment and systems, such as mixers, slicers, grinders, ovens, freezers, conveyors, sensors, controllers, etc.
- Conduct quality and safety inspections of food processing plants and equipment, and report any issues or defects to the management and the customers.
- Train plant operators and staff on how to use, operate, and maintain food processing equipment and systems, and provide technical guidance and support as needed.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations, such as HACCP, GMP, ISO, etc., and follow proper hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Prepare and maintain accurate and timely records and reports of field service activities, such as work orders, service logs, test results, etc.
- Communicate effectively with customers, plant managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments and trends in food processing technology and industry best practices.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor or the management.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in food science, food technology, food engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in food processing or food manufacturing industry, preferably as a field technician, service technician, or maintenance technician.
- Knowledge and skills in food processing equipment and systems, food safety standards and regulations, and food quality and safety testing methods and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
