SUMMARY
Early Childhood Teacher with good experience teaching children aged 4-8. The primary goal of an early childhood educator in robotic and coding education is to introduce young children to foundational concepts in a developmentally appropriate and engaging manner.
By fostering curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills, early childhood educators lay the groundwork for children to develop a positive attitude towards STEM learning and future engagement with robotics and coding. The candidate should thoroughly understand children's behaviour, cognition, and developmental milestones, and be able to integrate age-appropriate technology tools and resources, such as kid-friendly coding apps or programmable robots, that allow young children to explore coding concepts through interactive and hands-on experiences.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach and conduct age-appropriate classes for children aged 4-8, focusing on their cognitive, emotional, and social development.
- Address and manage any unexpected situations or challenges that may arise during classes with young children, leveraging extensive experience in handling such situations.
- Assess and monitor the progress of students and set goals for improvement.
- Preparing and leading extracurricular activities, such as robotics and coding clubs or competitions. Encouraging students to explore advanced concepts and engage in creative problem-solving.
- Effectively manage students in the classroom, motivate and encourage them to give their best.
- Establishing rapport with students and parents and communicating with parents on students’ learning progress.
- Tailor your coaching method to meet the needs of various students’ competencies and inspire students in their learning journey.
- Continuously improve teaching methods and materials based on the latest research in early childhood education and positive education.
- Facilitating project-based learning experiences that encourage students to work collaboratively to solve problems using robotics and coding. This approach allows students to engage in hands-on, inquiry-based activities and develop critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
- Play-Based Learning: Incorporating play-based learning strategies to engage children in robotic and coding experiences. Providing opportunities for imaginative play with robot toys, interactive coding games, and programmable toys that help children develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferably with at least 3 years of experience in teaching young children aged 4-8.
- Candidate should possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma or above relating to Education/Teaching/Training/Early Childhood Education would be ideal.
- Passionate about teaching STEM subjects: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
- Coding experience is not required; training will be provided. We are looking for keen learners with a deep interest to grow a career in the Tech Education sector.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills. Must be detail-oriented, reliable and comfortable with public speaking. A positive working attitude and outgoing disposition.
- Strong in multi-tasking and organisational skills. Dedication towards sparking curiosity and the joy of learning.
- Ability to adapt to different teaching situations and adjust teaching methods according to individual children's needs.
- Strong problem-solving skills, able to handle unexpected situations and challenges that may arise in the classroom.
- Open attitude towards innovative teaching methods and project-based learning approaches.
- The candidate ideally has in-depth knowledge and application of Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and other teaching methods and the ability to adapt flexibly would be considered favourably.
- The candidate should be student-centric and can develop a set of technology-based teaching methods suitable for young children through practice and reflection.

- Ready to teach lessons online.
- Ready to work on weekends.
