Aramco Asia is a group of Asian wholly owned subsidiaries of Saudi Aramco Asia Company, and they share a key mission in serving Saudi Aramco’s corporate strategic initiatives in the Asia-Pacific region.
Basic Function:
Performs professional accounting and prepares management reporting for management review and approval. Provides these services in an effective and efficient manner and maintains records and controls.
Scope:
Responsible under the general direction of Finance Head for performing assigned accounting operations and reporting activities. Supervises daily accounting activities including reveiwing payment vouchers, checking of expenses claimed & suppliers' invoices against supporting documents & receipts etc. Ensures adequate systems and policies are in place.
Principal Contacts:
External: Deals with company's external auditors under the supervision of Senior Accountant.
Internal: Regularly in contact with all levels of the Company to reply to inquiries, discuss problems in application and interpretation of accounting and financial policy, and provode advice and assistance on accounting and financial matters.
Principal Duties:
- Performs a wide range of accounting and management reporting tasks as directed by Finance Head.
- Prepares the monthly reporting to Saudi Aramco headquarter.
- Adheres to the monthly and yearly closing schedules and ensures all the related activities are executed in time.
- Assists in the dradting of accounting policies, procedures and practices, as well as their background and intent od application in corporate finance, contracts and SAP accounting system.
- Perfoms the monthly and yearly closing of accounts.
- Assists in data gathering and prepares the business plan & operating plan.
- Assists in the preparing the mid-year and year end accountability report.
- Liaises with external auditors and tax consultants for audit and tax issues.
- Prepares audit schedules and financial statements.
- Prepares and submits the quarterly GST filing.
- Liaises with Saudi Aramco for invoicing and payments for monthly service biling.
- Liaisies with finance departments of other Aramco offices for monthly inter-company transactions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance & Accounting or Management Reporting, CPA or ACCA is a plus.
- Minimum of six years of relevant work experience, preferably within an international company.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Profiency in software application.
- SAP experience is preferred.
This is a 1-year contract role with subject to extension depending on business needs.
