The Opportunity

  • Opportunity to work in a renowned organisation in the logistics industry (US MNC), and is an Accredited Training Organisation (ATO).
  • Location: East
  • Salary: Up $5300
  • Start ASAP!
  • 4 months contract convertible to perm!
  • Work life balance and time-off provided for OT commitment during month end closing period

The Talent

  • Minimum a Diploma in Accounting/Finance related background
  • At least 5 years of finance/management accounting experience; preferably with accounting or internal audit or public accounting in any industries
  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills to work collaboratively with different stakeholders
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and quickly adjust to changing business priorities and time-lines

Job Description

  • Maintaining accuracy of the monthly balance sheet reconciliations and journals for multiple legal entities
  • Review Overdue Items Report, follow up and escalate overdue items as needed
  • Run report in system and review accounts for ageing and value
  • Generate GL reports, perform trend analysis, and commence Variance Analysis
  • Be informed of and implement changes to the SLA
  • Review post-close Journal Entry activities to identify opportunities to decrease transaction volume and increase efficiency
  • Update risk and issue log
  • Work across different departments to identify and implement process improvement opportunities
  • Manage disaster recovery planning, updates, and testing as well as contingency plans
  • Ensure compliance with record retention policy
  • Work with internal stakeholders to understand new responsibilities as part of migration of new work. Assess the need for changes to the SLA to accommodate the migration of new work
