Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Unix servers, including AIX and Red Hat Linux, through installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and shell scripts for automation of system management tasks.
- Oversee middleware platforms such as IBM WAS, JBoss, and MQ, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
- Implement and maintain configuration management and automation tools to streamline system administration tasks.
- Monitor system performance and implement necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to support infrastructure projects and resolve technical issues.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems and data.
What we are looking for
- Proven experience as a Unix Administrator with a focus on AIX and Red Hat Linux administration.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Ansible and shell scripting for automation and system management tasks.
- Experience with middleware platforms such as IBM WAS, JBoss, and MQ is highly desirable.
- Sound knowledge of configuration management and automation tools.
- Familiarity with system monitoring tools and techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Relevant certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or IBM Certified System Administrator - AIX.
- Experience with cloud platforms and containerization technologies is a plus.
