Position Description (Summary):
The Stamping Process Engineer is a key contributor responsible for the development, optimization, and maintenance of stamping processes in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on ensuring efficient and high-quality metal forming and stamping operations.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize stamping processes to improve efficiency, reduce scrap, and enhance product quality.
- Conduct process analysis to identify areas for enhancement and implement improvements.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to establish and maintain stamping quality standards, including in-process inspections.
- Address and resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Maintain & update all documentation pertaining to process, quality, and system to meet approved regulatory requirement-ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO14001 & ISO13485.
- Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance stamping efficiency.
- Analyze production data and recommend process enhancements for cycle time reduction and increased output.
- Ensure that stamping processes comply with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Address safety concerns promptly and promote a culture of safety awareness.
- Maintain accurate documentation of stamping processes, tooling specifications, and process improvements.
- Prepare reports on process optimizations, project status, and performance metrics.
- Provide training and support to production staff and junior engineers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including tool and die makers, maintenance personnel, and quality control teams.
- Ensure Production Process Spec is Accurate & trigger control plan to update if any change.

Job Specification:
Educational Qualifications:
Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering.
Other Technical/Professional Qualifications:
Internal Auditor for IATF16949, ISO9001, related Quality management systems
Experience:
Minimum 10 years’ experience in Stamping
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, process improvement methodologies (such as Lean and Six Sigma), and quality management systems (e.g., ISO standards).
Knowledge Required:
Strong knowledge of stamping processes, die design, tooling, and material selection.
Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools for process optimization.
Skills Required:
Proficiency in manufacturing equipment and technology evaluation and implementation.
