Inbound Logistics Operations Director

Dell Global B.v. (singapore Branch)

You will be part of the Global Fulfillment, Logistics and Trade (GFL&T) organization and work as a Global Inbound Logistics Director responsible for leading a team of operations professionals that manages Dell’s Inbound Airfreight, Ocean Freight and Ground Transportation network in and out of key manufacturing facilities and to our regional DCs.

You will

  • Developing, maintaining, and evolving the inbound operational strategy in collaboration with GFL&T leadership and other key stakeholders
  • Managing the daily operations of the global inbound logistics network to ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) are delivered
  • Proactively managing operational risk and resolving any issues or challenges that arise within the inbound network to ensure continuity of service
  • Enhancing internal stakeholder engagement enabling an understanding of the global inbound network and collaborative opportunities to improve both cost and service
  • Managing the recruitment, retention, and performance management strategies for a diverse and global workforce

Essential Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field (MBA or post graduate degree preferred)
  • 10 years+ Inbound Logistics Operations experience working within a large, global, shipper
  • Cross mode experience covering International Airfreight, Ocean Freight and ground transportation
  • 7 years+ people management experience managing remote and global teams with a proven track record of individual and organizational development
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills at all levels with competence in making timely, effective, principles-based decisions

  • Strong business, operational and financial acumen, including advanced problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and analytical capabilities
  • Unquestioned integrity with confidence and executive presence
