Commercial Product and Business Development Manager

Key Responsibilities:


1. Product Development

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, trends, and opportunities for new products or improvements to existing ones.
  • To manage the product development lifecycle, from ideation and concept validation to product launch and post-launch evaluation which includes products P&L with a focus on product feature design, loyalty program development and enhancement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Merchant Acquiring, Risk, Finance, Operational, Technology) and lead the design and development of differentiated value propositions or operational processes for new and existing commercial products to win in the target market segment.
  • Develop value added marketing contents for various communications assets including product marketing materials to drive cardmember engagements.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our customer portfolio and identify new dynamic targeting capabilities to grow spend. This includes creating segmentation, cost/benefit analysis, developing business cases to assist in campaign development.

2. Business Development:

  • Identify potential partnerships, distribution channels, and collaborations to expand the Commercial Card's market reach and drive revenue growth. Develop and implement acquisition strategies (opportunity sizing, identifying effective lead generation sources, outbound and inbound campaign development, enhancing partnership channels) to drive activation and sales volume growth.
  • Maintain current knowledge of all cards products and services offered, including commercial business cards use and travel management solutions.
  • Engage with prospects or customers to understand their business needs, identify and sell-in relevant opportunities for DCS suite of working capital card solution to address their need.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, partners, and stakeholders to promote business opportunities and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Lead negotiations for deals, contracts, and agreements that align with the company's objectives and financial targets.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify market trends, benchmark the company against competitors, and propose strategies for gaining a competitive edge.

3. Financial Analysis and Reporting

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of Commercial Card products and business development initiatives.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, outlining progress, challenges, and opportunities in product and business development efforts.
  • Develop and manage budgets related to product development and business expansion activities

Qualifications:

  • The candidate should possess at least 5-6 years of relevant Product development experiences, with the knowledge in Commercial Card Issuing and Acquiring businesses.
  • Highly motivated, strategic thinker and has the ability to work closely with key business partners to deliver new initiatives to success
  • Ability to work and collaborate in a complex environment, with a diverse group of internal stakeholders and with external partners.
  • Good understanding of the card payment business or the network partner model, will be an added advantage.
  • Strong financial analysis and insight discovery experience with an action-oriented outlook.
  • Project and process management experience, with a high comfort level for technical complexity with attention to details and ability to multi-task
  • Strong analytical skills with a creative flair
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to take ownership and drive results in areas outside of direct control
  • A strong team player who is flexible and maintains a positive attitude during changing work priorities.
  • Strong communication skills (written & oral) with ability to articulate effectively at multiple levels. Proficency in Mandarin is essential in order to manage chinese-speaking clients.
