Job Relationship : Reports to Deputy Head of Communications
A. Job Summary
You will manage, recruit, deploy and motivate caregiver leaders/volunteers for the effective accomplishment of Caregivers Alliance Limited’s (CAL) corporate goals. You are responsible to manage all elements of volunteering within CAL. Your role involves assessing CAL’s needs and meeting those needs through the recruitment, placement and retention of volunteers. You will also establish and maintain good relationship between these volunteers and CAL.
B. Responsibilities
- Bears the overall responsibility for the management of volunteers (caregiver leaders and community volunteers) in CAL
- Research and write volunteer policies and procedures
- Recruit volunteers, understand how they work, develop partnerships and assess their volunteering needs
- Generate appropriate volunteering opportunities and role descriptions based on the needs of CAL
- Ensure volunteers are appropriately matched and trained for a position
- Monitor, support, motivate and accredit volunteers for their work
- Celebrate volunteering by nominating volunteers for awards and organizing celebration events
- Offer advice and information to volunteers and external organisations through face-to-face, telephone and email contact
- Organise profile-raising events to attract new volunteers
- Manage budgets and resources, including the reimbursement of expenses
- Keep up-to-date with legislation and policy relating to volunteering and make any necessary modifications to accommodate changes
- Maintain the volunteer database in the Customer Relationship Management system
- Generate appropriate volunteering opportunities and role descriptions based on the needs of CAL
C. Job Requirements
- Degree in Human Resource or Marketing or related discipline
- Has at least 5 years of related experience in marketing, human resource or related fields
- Possesses good organisational, communication, networking and administrative skills
- Capable of innovative and strategic thinking beyond conventional boundaries
- Proficient in the English Language and has good writing skills
- Has the passion and dedication to work with families and persons with mental health issues
- Displays integrity - sincere in own behaviour and in dealings with others
- Results-oriented and is comfortable in working independently
- Works with others in a collaborative and solutions focused manner to achieve win-win outcomes
