We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Assistant - Mechanical (ESD) to join the Singapore Office of a growing engineering consulting business, under our Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) team, led by one of our Technical Director who was conferred the SGBC-BCA Professional Leadership in Sustainability Award.

About You

We’re looking for someone who loves to learn and share knowledge – someone who can bring a fresh perspective to ensure the development of the people around them and who constantly seeks better practice for the overall quality of our work and our client experience.

Your passion, design and problem-solving mindset will be matched with a desire to work on meaningful and significant projects with the team.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will primarily be responsible for:

· Design including calculation of details in conjunction with the Senior Engineers. The conceptual design will either be done by the Senior Engineers or will on small jobs discussed for Designer execution.

· Prepare M&E drawings in AutoCAD or BIM, 3-D models and computer simulation.

· Control drawing co-ordination and quality to ensure that drawings issued are properly prepared and issued.

· Prepare drawing lists at project onset (for planning and programming) and maintain them to monitor progress against programme through design phases, assist Senior Engineers to ensure agreed programme dates are met.

· Prepare draft contract Instructions, progress payment certificates, and process variation orders where appropriate.

· Attend meetings and site inspections as requested by Senior Engineers.

· Ensure authorities submission drawings are correctly prepared and ensure that drawings are updated during construction.

· Coordination on drawings and documentation for submission to Authorities.

Key Requirements

· Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Building Services/Sustainable Built Environment from recognised institution.

· Ability to develop and prepare drawings by engineers with minimal input and produce practical buildable details with proficiency in Autocad and BIM.

· Excellent in both written and verbal communication skills.

· A team player; able to interact and work well with colleagues.

· Schedule driven and self-motivated.
