Process Mechanical Lead

The Process Mechanical Lead will be responsible for the Process Mechanical Package in a Greenfield FMCG facility. The Process Mechanical Lead will report to the Project Manager and work closely with the customer in terms of design and delivery of Process Mechanical equipment. The Process Mechanical Lead will also coordinate and manage partner’s NSC mechanical contractor to execute receiving and assembly of mechanical components within the Process Package. Process Mech Lead will be responsible for maintaining the Project Equipment List and ensure fabrication, delivery and installation sequences are controlled and monitored as required.Will support the project manager through the phases of detailed design, receiving, mechanical inspection, lifting and installation of mechanical of the Manufacturing process equipment which includes but not limited to holding tanks, mixing tanks, process skids and curing and rolling machinery. You will identify and close the gaps during the execution and hand-over of project equipment within safety, cost, schedule, quality and functionality to the operational staff who will perform start-up. It is preferred for the Process Mechanical Lead to have the capability to provide the leadership to a multinational project team as well the capability to interact with the senior management within partner’s Construction Manager and Process Project Manager.



Responsibility :

● To understand Process Assembly, Machine Assembly and Structural Fabrication works and manages contractors in these areas ensuring and establishing goals and deliverables, together with the relevant project champion to support business objectives in collaboration with customers, partners and other senior stakeholders.

● To develop the project schedule for mechanical assembly, inspection and installation management with compliance to all pertinent safety policies, rules and regulations.

● To ensure that the adequate project control systems needed to manage the risk, cost and schedule are timely in place.

● To ensure change management methods are in place and parlayed to customers in a timely manner to protect open risks of the project, and achieve approvals prior change execution.

● To conduct regular engineering and project control reviews with the project team in order to ensure that the project execution is on track (safety, quality, cost & schedule) and to identify and implement remedial action(s) in case of any deviation from project objectives.

● To define and implement overall mechanical resources (internal and external) and to provide daily leadership.

● To ensure availability of required construction tools, lifting equipment and availability of planning charts, for machine assembly execution.

● Ability to guide the team through issues that may arise from machine assembly or missing components, troubleshooting and solving with support and approval from customer design team and OEM vendor knowledge sharing.

● To ensure the implementation of the state-of-the-art technical solutions and to ensure compliance with internal and external quality, safety and ecology standards.

● To ensure the sharing and leveraging of customer best practices and expertise within the company's process engineering community.

● To ensure the successful hand-over the project to the user-team including the right level of training and correct documentation

● To review the centerline marking and alignment, foundation shims and maintain best installation practices and sign-off / perform Installation Qualification tests and checklists.


About You:● Degree in engineering or equivalent● 10-15 years of project engineering experience.● Successful process assembly management and leadership experience on international projects with diverse teams● Excellent project management skills including change and contract management● In-depth technical knowledge in chemical and / or conveyor systems● Wide interdisciplinary knowledge across Process Mechanical, Structural Fabrication and Process Safety requirements such as NFPA70● Strong leader, motivating team player, drives results, excellent communication skills and experience in managing matrix-based cross-functional teams.● Solid internal and external collaboration and influencing skills and the ability to lead diverse, cross-functional teams in the successful delivery of projects.● Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment is crucial.● Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.● Strong written and oral communication skills.● Strong interpersonal skills
