We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Heritage Manager.
Principal Responsibilities
The Heritage Manager provides professional expertise to manage our heritage initiatives in Singapore and leads other archive engagement projects regionally and globally. Key responsibilities include:
- Leads and develops heritage initiatives in Singapore to leverage our long history in the country. This involves working closely with the local CEO, COO and Comms teams to deliver impactful content and events
- Drives the wider Asia-Pacific heritage programme (e.g. Heritage display installations in flagship offices, AV content for Wealth Centres, temporary exhibitions, anniversary celebrations). This involves identifying opportunities and providing strong stakeholder and project management skills. It requires storytelling and content development based on in-depth knowledge of the bank’s history and archives
- Participates in the wider global team’s engagement projects (e.g. St Paul’s Panorama headquarters project, social media content, employee induction courses, history talk series)
- Provides research and writing for the History website, with responsibility for curatorial direction and editorial review of contributions from other team members
- Participates in the team’s enquiry service. This involves carrying out detailed historical research to respond to academics, genealogists, journalists, local historians, special interest groups etc
Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in Archives Management (or related discipline) and/or proven track record delivering archives and heritage outreach programmes, ideally within a corporate environment
- Expert knowledge of heritage/museum sector and best practice
- Excellent writing and presentation skills, demonstrating ease and authority when communicating with senior management
- Strong research and storytelling skills with proven ability to strategically curate topics across a wide range of complex subjects
- Strong strategic planning and project management skills
- Experience working with archives (physical and born-digital). Knowledge of Preservica software is an advantage
- Ability to work independently and deliver quality work with minimal direction - managing time and multiple priorities effectively
