JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide efficient telephone services by answering calls promptly and in a courteous and helpful manner.
2. Receive, acknowledge and relay all incoming calls on the switchboard and telephone in the department to the parties concerned in a fast, accurate and courteous manner.
3. Ensure that telephone courtesy and techniques are put into practice.
4. Input the wake-up calls requested into the FCS system and ensure that it is prompty executed.
5. Take note of daily events and new instructions on the white board in the Telephone department.
6. Check and record incoming faxes and distribute to respective departments concerned.
7. Assist guests and staff on general enquiries and connection of overseas calls.
8. Furnish maximum information related to the Hotel to guests or other related parties, provided that the information is not deemed confidential such as management policies, rules and regulations and guest’s information.
9. Transmit or relay accurately and promptly all messages requested by guests and staff.
10. Keep data and records for all long distance calls made through Operators.
11. Perform other duties as and when assigned by the Management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Possess at least a GCE ‘N’ / ‘O’ Level or equivalent.
2. At least 1 year of experience in related field.
3. Excellent in communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
5. Able to work independently and as a team member.
6. Willing to take on a three (3) rotating shifts jobs.
7. Able to work 6 days work week including Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.
8. Preferably able to communicate English, Mandarin and local dialects such as Cantonese, Hokkien and Teochew to attend to hotel guests from China, Taiwan and Asia Pacific countries.
9. Able to commence employment within short notice period.
