We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Petrochemical Trader for a Commodities Trading House. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing trading strategies in the petrochemical market, managing risk, and building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product group: Propylene, Crude C4, Butadiene, Raffinate, Butene-1, Sulfur etc
  • Execute physical trades of petrochemical products, including negotiating terms with suppliers and customers, managing shipping logistics, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, customers, and logistics partners. Foster long-term partnerships to enhance trading opportunities.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of global petrochemical markets, including supply and demand dynamics, pricing trends, and geopolitical factors.
  • Negotiate physical trading contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company. Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure contract compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and suppliers. Provide timely market updates and insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. Stay informed about changes in regulations and adjust trading strategies accordingly

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business or equivalent with 2 years’ experience in physical petrochemical trading with a demonstrated track record of successful transactions.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain dynamics in the petrochemical industry.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of risk management principles and strategies in physical trading.
  • Familiarity with international trade regulations and documentation.
