We are seeking a young and energetic Process Engineer to join our Planning Section to grow the potential of our process engineering function. In Kurita, we pride ourselves on our technical skills and excellent customer services.
Job scope
- Design of water treatment processes including ultrapure water systems, wastewater treatment systems and water reclaim systems.
- Prepare and coordinate the preparation of proposals to clients, including design calculations, block flow diagrams, technical specifications, drawing and costing.
- Presenting to clients and following up with clients.
- Propose plant upgrades to address changes to water quality, energy reduction, reduce operating costs and enhance reliability and redundancy.
- Process troubleshooting of existing plants.
- Performing site tests as required, e.g. jar tests.
- Take charge of our Plant Analytical Laboratory, and perform analytical tests relating to membrane filtration, biotreatment piloting, sludge dehydration test and piloting studies for specific new processes.
- Write standard operating procedures for plant operations.
- Participate in plant construction / commissioning activities. Assist in writing operating manuals together with Engineering/Construction.
Requirements:
- 1 – 2 years of relevant working experience.
- ITE/Diploma/Degree in Chemical/Process Technology, Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of general and water chemistry.
- Understanding of plant equipment like pumps, piping and control systems.
- Good team worker who is willing to share and learn from your teammates.
- Sales-oriented and able to engage and create good relationship with clients.
- Ability to see opportunities at customers site and propose benefits to clients.
- Able to work under pressure in a fastmoving environment. Willing to work beyond normal work hours when necessary.
- Willing to travel within ASEAN countries.
