JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Purchasing Senior Executive embraces a wide range of responsibilities as follow:
- To source, plan, negotiate, purchase and ensure timely delivery of Plant feedstock and packaging materials.
- All Logistics Cost (Both import and export) Negotiation and Dissemination.
- Procurement of all HSE related Purchases and Waste Management Services plus provide a suppository role on their Cost and Contract Negotiation.
- Month End Closing Operation
- To provide a supportive role in terms of Purchase Administration, delivery control and Documentations.
- Any added-on responsibilities or duties including Intercompany Company Trades, administrative to write off/back, filing and data updates, delivery control and Control and Updates of Quality Manuals and Purchasing Documentations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
Feedstocks
· Sourcing, Procurement and Ordering of Feedstock to the Plant, packaging materials and Logistics and Shipping Service.
· Creation and management and review of purchase plan for the Plant and Packaging Materials.
· Import Clearance and Delivery Control
· Contract & Quotes Negotiation with Suppliers and 3PLs.
· Responsible for New Suppliers Qualification and Existing Supplier’s Performance Evaluation
Logistics Cost
- Send out RFQ to Logistics Services Provider
- Dispatch information to fellow Logistics Team members.
- Performance Evaluation of 3PL
Overall Purchasing
- Perform Month End Closing Operation
- Creation and updating of Month End Report
- Price Trend Monitoring and update
- Provide support in HY and FY Budgeting
- Filing and other administrative Duties
- Other Miscellaneous Task
Other Logistics Related Support
- Project Management which involves overall logistics scheduling, coordination, documentation and Tracking.
- Provide a supporting role in HY and FY Budgeting
- To back-up other logistics members as and when necessary
REQUIREMENTS
- Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain and Logistics Operations or its equivalent
- At least 3 year(s) of relevant working experience. Experience in Petrochemical or Chemical Plants Procurement preferred.
- English Communication skills – written and verbal
- Proficient in MS Office including Ms Words, Excel (preferably advance) , PPT, and other applications
- Details Oriented
- Skilled in SAP/ERP SD and MM modules
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Details Orientated
- Strong Multi-tasker
- Fluency in English both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
