About the role
Reporting to the VP of Ocean team, and as part of the Trade Performance Centre (TPC) team, this role will manage allocation on trade lanes as negotiated, while also liaising with carriers and other TPC teams to monitor overall performance.
What you will be doing
Allocation Management
- Allocation Management on different Trade Lanes according to the agreements negotiated by the MO procurement team with the shipping companies for all FAK/NVOCC/NAC BASKET/NAC contracts
- Development and maintenance of allocation cards
Liaising with carriers
- Management of the Space / Equipment release with carriers
- Follow up on allocation compliance specifically on contracts subject to DeadFreight
Coordination with the network
- Work closely with other TPC teams to ensure continuous improvements and increase productivity
- Ensure that agreed SOPs are in place and respected in order to increase TPC visibility on the overall process and that data quality is improving
- Improved visibility of schedule carriers
- Conduct needs assessments and performance monitoring for communications with EU network
- Maintain dynamic communication across the network through specific flashes to inform of opportunities or difficulties.
- Conduct conference calls with stakeholders as needed (regular ones and emergency ones when needed)
The successful applicant
Essential
- Minimum diploma AND at least 2 years’ experience in carriers or Logistics company
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel/ Powerpoint
- Strong analytical skills
- Enjoys working with numbers
- Be autonomous while also excelling in a team environment
Desirable
- Tableau Software Proficiency is a plus.
- Goal oriented and driven, motivated self-starter with excellent organization skills and ability to multi-task
- Positive, highly adaptable and possesses strong people skills
