We are seeking an experienced IT Security Engineer to join our team. The IT Security Engineer will be responsible for protecting the company's assets and ensuring the security of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of network security, security protocols, and security tools.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of our systems, networks, and data
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities
- Design and implement security controls to protect the company's assets and minimize the risk of a security breach
- Monitor and analyze security logs and alerts to detect and respond to security incidents
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and remediate security issues and vulnerabilities
- Manage security-related projects, including the implementation of new security technologies and tools
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in IT security to ensure that the company's security posture remains strong
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in IT security, network security, or a related field
- Strong understanding of security protocols, tools, and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, and vulnerability scanning tools
- Hands-on experience with security-related technologies, such as SIEM, DLP, IAM, and encryption
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Knowledge of security compliance standards, such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and ISO 27001
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus
