Responsibilities:
- Supervise a group of Junior Fire Officers in the areas of fire vehicle operation, life preservation and minimization of property loss at an aircraft incident/accident site
- Operate sophisticated firefighting and rescue equipment and vehicles
- Plan and maintain the operational effectiveness of the unit under his/her charge
- Ensure appropriate operational standards, procedures and operating practices are established and maintained
- Organize and implement fire safety awareness and emergency preparedness programmes
- Maintain operational readiness and effectiveness by passing the Airport Firefighter Fitness Test (AFFT) annually
Requirements:
- Diploma from a local Polytechnic
- Strong inclination for rescue work
- Physically and medically fit with good eyesight in order to lead team of emergency officers to respond and mitigate emergencies at the aerodrome (you will be required to undergo a physical fitness assessment if shortlisted)
- Self-disciplined and composed under pressure
- Leadership qualities as well as good communication and writing skills
- Candidates with Class 3 driving license would be preferred
- Willing to perform shift duties
