Our client is a leading regional bank looking for an experienced incident manager to set-up and improve the bank's technology operations across the the APAC region.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in creating an incident management framework and target operating model. This includes planning and allocating resources to implement this framework across all countries in the region. Furthermore, the candidate will be responsible for ongoing governance and reporting to keep key stakeholders informed.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the stability and reliability of production systems, minimizing downtime, and promptly addressing any issues affecting banking operations.
- Defining and meeting SLAs for incident response and system availability in alignment with business requirements and expectations.
- Overseeing the incident management process and guiding team members in resolving incidents within defined SLAs.
- Prioritizing incidents based on their severity and urgency.
- Establishing clear escalation procedures for critical incidents to ensure a swift response and resolution.
- Responding to reported service incidents, identifying their causes, and initiating the incident management process.
- Collaborating with application and infrastructure delivery teams to establish robust monitoring systems for proactive issue identification.
- Leading and managing a high-performance culture within a team of IT operation teams, providing guidance and training.
Requirements:
- Possess a degree in an IT-related field
- Demonstrate outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Exhibit strong problem-solving, analytical, and time management capabilities
- Bring substantial experience in IT Service Management or a comparable role
- Have a track record of working with platforms like ServiceNow
- Showcase excellent managerial skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members across the organization
- Japanese speaking skills are necessary to liaise with stakeholders based in Japan
