Job Description & Requirements
The Deputy Manager shall support to the Corporate Safety Department in developing, implementing, and overseeing the Safety, Health, and Environment Management System (SHEMS) across project sites. This role involves ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations, codes, and standards, as well as promoting a culture of safety excellence across all projects. The Deputy Manager will oversee and provide guidance to Project WSHE officers.
Key Responsibilities:
SHEMS GOVERNANCE AND OVERSIGHT
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with relevant legislations, codes, and regulations.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SHEMS implementation and implement improvements as needed.
- Work closely with the Corporate Safety Manager to assist in implementing Management HSE strategies and Directives across project sites.
COMPLIANCE AND ASSURANCE
- Provide guidance and oversee site operations to ensure that all projects, activities, and operations are aligned with health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations.
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures related to safety, health, and the environment.
- Drive the adoption of best practices to maintain compliance and foster a culture of safety excellence.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Workplace Safety & Health or its equivalent from a recognized institution
- Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO)
- Registered Environment Control Officer (ECO)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant workplace safety and health practicing experiences (Preferably in Statutory Boards projects)
- Self-starter, driven, ethical
