My client is a MNC in construction industry is hiring multiple Lead Electrical Engineer to join them.
Responsibilities:
- Providing guidance and support to electrical engineers throughout the tendering, design, and construction phases, adhering to established engineering efficiency checklists.
- Enforcing the implementation of design checklists and monitoring project progress.
- Evaluating the design of electrical systems generated by team members for technical compliance with client/customer requirements as per contracts.
- Crafting comprehensive electrical tender packages, inclusive of specifications and drawings.
- Maintaining awareness of current industry practices and engineering trends to sustain technical competence.
- Conducting tendering and estimation processes for electrical projects before the award phase.
- Aggregating lessons learned and briefing the Head of Department (HOD), updating the Lessons Learned register accordingly.
- Compiling and reviewing Operation and Maintenance Dossiers for Projects.
- Promoting a culture of safety to safeguard the well-being of Employees, Sub-contractors, and Customers.
- Cultivating and upholding a professional atmosphere in the workplace through leading by example.
- Establishing and nurturing a focused Electrical Team, offering adequate support to all team members.
- Safeguarding the interests of the company.
- Leading a group of Electrical Engineers in large-scale projects throughout the design and construction phases.
- Designing High Voltage switchgears, Low Voltage switchboards, motor control systems, transformers, generators, High Voltage and Low Voltage cable systems, as well as lighting and small power systems for Cleanrooms, Industrial Facilities, and Commercial Buildings.
- Conducting advanced design calculations essential for project execution, including short circuit calculation, load flow, cable sizing, and lighting calculation.
- Executing/expediting electrical packages during the construction phase, assuming responsibility for assigned electrical packages.
- Collaborating with local authorities for submissions and ensuring compliance.
- Coordinating scheduling activities for Electrical supervisors on a project to ensure timely delivery at project milestones.
- Interfacing with other trades during the design phase and incorporating their requirements into electrical design.
- Performing technical evaluations of vendor submissions, including approval of shop drawings.
Requirements:
- Possess a degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
- Exhibit expertise in both electrical project design and construction management.
- Showcase technical knowledge and comprehension of Engineering Design and Construction for High Voltage and Low Voltage Electrical systems.
- Display technical expertise in project execution processes within a fast-paced environment.
- Possess extensive knowledge of local code of practice for design implementation.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of local construction practices.
- Good to have Building Construction Supervisor Safety Course & Workplace Safety and Health Risk Management Course.
