Logistic Planning & Management
- Supervise the Logistics team and provide mentorship by training delivery personnel in roles or responsibilities regarding logistics strategies
- Identify, develop and implement continuous improvement and new initiatives that optimise service, inventory turns and operational costs for the company
- Tracking and reporting of operations volume (and productivity), customer service level and all aspects of logistics cost
- Managing subcontractors, including transporter for negotiation of transportation rates and services
- Maintain metrics (including implementing specific metrics accordingly to customer requirement), reports, process documentation, customer service logs, training and safety records
- Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistic systems, imports or exports, or customer issues
- Direct distribution center operation to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy or timelines objectives
- Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios
Warehouse Operations Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations including stock analysis, planning & replenishment, of all warehouse activities and administration
- Ensure effective and accurate movement and storage of materials / products in the warehouse by establishing operational procedures or activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials
- Ensure accuracy of inventory against system records with minimise stocks discrepancy by conducting cycle counts on periodic basis
- Conducting inventory reconciliation, to ensure inventory integrity, if required
- Optimising warehouse or stores utilisation and resources deployment in meeting incoming and outgoing products schedule
- Optimizing warehousing cost, inventory level and accuracy – minimise excess & obsolete inventory, maximise service levels in conjunction with inventory goals, through planning & deployment of resources
- Maintenance of records and documents for all transactions and inventory related activities
- Sourcing and set-up of new warehousing & operational planning of all shipment, if required
Job Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain / Logistics / Warehousing Management or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in Warehouse Management, with 2 years in supervisory, management position
- Good people management, able to lead and manage a team to maintain good working relationship
- Strong problem solving, negotiation and solutions orientation skills
- Proven track record of ensuring the delivery of continuous improvement
- Strong written & spoken communication skills
- Good ERP working knowledge will be an added advantage
