1. HE Programme Delivery: Ensure operational success of the programmes through maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders including but not limited to university partners, lecturers, students, alumni and government authorities.


2. Operation Coordination with University

Partners/Academics: Assist Resident Director in creation and implementation of orientation and academic development programs/workshops and promote the services by SIM Student Development to ensure students are well supported throughout their studies at SIM.


3. Student Support:

  • Ensure successful transition and smooth progression for students by providing them with appropriate academic advisement to satisfy University Partner's Degree requirement; and academic counselling to students with academic difficulties.
  • Discuss the educational and career objectives suited to the student’s demonstrated abilities and expressed interests. Advisors help students understand the relationships among the courses, programs, undergraduate research opportunities, and other academic experiences provided by the university. Help the student become an independent, self-confident decision maker, able to solve problems that arise in pursuit of their educational goals.
  • Assist the student in planning a course of study and give advice about courses and adjustment of course loads. The advisor will inform the student about their exemptions/transfer credits; prerequisites for subsequent courses in the student’s programme.
  • Work with Resident Directors to review students’ academic performance and carry our interventions for at-risk students.

4. Process Innovation: Review processes and suggest improvement plans that will enhance student learning experience.


5. Marketing and Recruitment: Actively engage prospects and present accurate information at all marketing and recruitment events.


6. Programme Review: Compile data for programme reviews (internal and external).
