Overview
Scent Senses is a wholesale distributor of internationally branded luxury products, As a company focused on ensuring the end-consumer has the best possible purchasing experience, we are seeking a General Manager of quality assurance, logistics and warehouse management, who can ensure all products that pass through our warehouses are rigorously checked for quality and authenticity, have appropriate goods-tracking mechanisms implemented upon them, and complete their logistic journey efficiently.
As a manager, your role will require deep technical expertise, and managerial experience.
Job Responsibilities
You will be expected to:
1. Design and implement the company’s goods tracking mechanism to ensure complete traceability from manufacturer to end consumer.
a. You will be expected to work with the ERP systems administrator to digitize this mechanism
2. Manage a team of quality assurance officers, whose functions include
a. Ensuring correct distributor codes are present on each product
b. Visually inspecting all merchandise to ensure there are no blemishes
c. Appropriately demarcating and returning merchandise which does not meet QC standards
3. Manage a team of warehouse operators, who carry out typical CG operations.
4. Ensure logistics process error rate of <0.05%, including customer complaints and internal QA checks.
Job Requirements
As a significant point of control for the essential functions of quality control and warehousing, you will be expected to have the following experience and/or knowledge in order to carry out your functions effectively:
1) Thorough knowledge of various industry standard packaging quality assurance checkpoints, including their methods of identification.
2) Experience managing a team of at least 25 in a quality assurance function.
3) Deep knowledge and experience of goods traceability mechanisms, especially with regards to implementation of these mechanisms downstream.
4) Knowledge and experience of warehouse operations with respect to CG, especially in handling, sanitation between QC and non-QC products, goods flow, product accounting, etc.
5) Knowledge and experience working with GS1 standards and matrix codes.
6) A minimum of 15 years of experience working directly in the quality assurance field within the luxury industry.
7) Qualifications in technical industries are highly preferred.
8) Knowledge and experience in Odoo 16 software usage, especially Inventory and Manufacturing module.
Misc.
1) You will be expected to work 5.5 days. Weekday working hours are 8:30am to 6pm, and Saturday working hours are 8:30am - 1pm.
2) Sick leave and Annual leave will be in line with MOM regulations.
