About our client: Our client provides turbomachinery control solutions to the power and process industries.
About the role:
- Execute project management of PLC-based controller system or company configurable products for turbomachinery control in meeting customers specification, project schedule, financial goals and quality standards.
- Responsible for project planning & budgeting, design & implementation, management and coordination and client management.
- Ensure good project management standard and practices are implemented always including material procurement, project implementation phase, up to the successful commissioning of the project at customer site.
- Responsible for resource management based on scheduled workload.
- Communicate with customers effectively to understand their needs and provide propositions to achieve objectives.
- Manage customers expectations or changes to requirement and propose solutions and costs when necessary.
- Serves as a primary focal point of contact for customers, suppliers and internal staff for assigned projects for overall commercial & contractual issues.
- Responsible for project status, performance and forecasting reporting to the management / customers.
- Continuous enhancement of existing project management practices/ processes to improve productivity and profitability.
- Ensure timely completion and close-out of project based on contractual requirement, including resolution of any open items.
- Lead and manage a team of assigned vendors or contractors allocated to the project.
- Undertake other administration or technical assignments as and when required.
- Require occasionally overseas business travelling
About you:
- Minimum Degree in Electronics & Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- At least 4 years’ experience in managing PLC-based control system project in Petrochemical or Oil/ Gas industry project management experience on Turbomachinery Control system is an advantage.
- Able to utilise SAP Business Once Modules in managing project related work e.g. procurement, costing etc.
- Strong leadership, organizational and planning skills.
- Knowledge of commercial and financial issues.
- Excellent analytical skills and results-oriented.
- Proactive, self-starter and a team player.
- Proven skills in the use of project tools such as MS Project and techniques.
- PMP certification will be advantageous.
