Principal Accountabilities:
- Handle and maintain accurate records of trust account balances and activity supported by relevant documentation
- Monitor trust account transactions and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and file trust account tax returns
- Provide regular financial statements and reports to clients
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to trust account activity
- Assist with client trust account setup and maintenance
- Manage full set of trust and its underlying companies’ accounts and prepare financial statements
- Provide accounting support to the trust manager on distributions, payments from and receipts into trusts and/or underlying companies
- Adhere to Company core values and expected behaviours
Skills Required
- Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in trust accounting or related industry
- Working knowledge of trust accounting principles and regulations
- Experience with trust accounting software and financial reporting tools
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and trust with clients
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Attitude Required
- Meticulous and discreet in handling confidential information
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and Mandarin
- Able to articulate well
- Able to work well with both internal and external stakeholders
- Attention to detail is essential
- Able to adhere to tight deadlines
- Familiar with current trend of IT applications
