The ideal manager should be a fast and independent worker. You should be one who takes pride in doing good work, has initiative, and always delivers beyond expectation. You should be outgoing and comfortable in dealing with different groups of people (investors, founders and ecosystem players)
What working at AngelCentral is like: We base out of Blk 71 (NUS Enterprise), though most of the time the team works remotely. We coordinate via WhatsApp and weekly meetings. We expect the individual selected to work with us to be a self-starter, and definitely one with strong work ethics, conscious, efficient and accountable. We are outcome driven and believe in self management and motivation.
AngelCentral is run by experienced investors and entrepreneurs. We are particular about work quality, outcome, integrity and of course efficiency. We are a scrappy small team (currently four employees + 1 intern + many contractors) You will definitely gain a better understanding and insight into the startup and angel investing space in Southeast Asia, and be exposed to many high net worth individuals ranging from a diverse set of backgrounds, including former entrepreneurs, C-Suite executives, and fund managers.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Community and Membership Manager, you will take charge of three broad categories of functions: membership growth and engagement; learning program organisation and execution; and also overall AngelCentral marketing and outreach.
You will report to the Asst General Manager, and work closely with the Management.
Work hours per week: 20-25 hours per week; flexible hours, but need to be present for all physical events and weekly team coordination meetings.
Our ideal candidate should check off the following:
- A great communicator with excellent command of the English language and writing skills
- Web-savvy, with prior digital marketing experiences
- Fast learner, self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity
- Organized and detailed, with strong bias for quick and effective execution
- Conversant with financial (investment) and startup lingo.
