CMIT Small Appliances Sub COU is looking for an operation lead located in Singapore to develop ASEAN footprint as well as strengthen the relationship with ASEAN key customers.
Sound knowledges in appliances (preferably in IEC 60335, control analysis and functional safety) is expected.
The candidate shall acquire with a good experiences of TIC business and technical area (Component knowledge, hardware & software analysis. Lab testing, calibration and accreditation etc).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as key technical contact for ASEAN customers
- Being a project handler to arrange testing in other locations.
- Conduct L3 project review where needed.
- Support sales activities to win projects from competitions
- Lead to grow the business in ASEAN region.
- Plan and develop business & operations model as well as expansion in ASEAN regions.
- Support any global & regional small appliances initiatives.
- Resolves technical issues and explains UL procedures and requirements.
- Resolves complex engineering issues associated with Variation Notices by analyzing and reporting on the acceptability of the variations.
- Develops UL requirements for testing products beyond the scope of existing standards, or those involving unique features requiring frequent use of independent judgment. Develops special test methods and test equipment. Represents UL on technical committees of national and/or international organizations.
- Provides leadership and technical advice on special projects that involve complex, new or unusual issues. May provide direction as a Primary Designated Engineer or Designated Engineer for specific product categories.
- Performs special projects as directed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Master or University Degree in Electrical, Electronics Engineering with 8 to 10 years of related work experience.
- Excellent experiences in Software Analysis (IEC 60730) , Functional safety (IEC 61508), and Appliances Evaluation (IEC 60335) are required.
- Detailed knowledge of the technical vocabulary common to the appropriate discipline.
- Working knowledge of conformity standards in use in areas of expertise.
- Demonstrated ability to apply project-development & handling concepts in use in areas of expertise, including application to complex, new, or unusual products. Working knowledge of industry issues, needs, and problems.
