Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of a variety of local dishes, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to recipes.
Prepare and assemble ingredients for coffee beverages, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Coffee Brewing:Operate coffee machines to brew a range of traditional coffee / tea. Ensure the proper calibration and maintenance of coffee equipment.
- Toast Making: Prepare and toast a variety of bread items according to customer preferences and menu specifications.
Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of toasts to meet customer orders.
- Kitchen Organization:Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
Follow food safety and hygiene standards, including proper storage and labeling of ingredients.
- Order Fulfillment:Work closely with other kitchen staff to fulfill customer orders efficiently and in a timely manner.
Communicate effectively with the front-of-house team to ensure accurate order delivery.
- Quality Control:Monitor and maintain food quality throughout the preparation process.
Assist in inventory management, including restocking and rotating supplies as needed.
- Adherence to Health and Safety Regulations:Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the proper handling and disposal of waste.
Report any kitchen equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Assistant or similar role in a food and beverage establishment is preferred.
- Knowledge of local dishes and coffee preparation techniques is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
