Head of APAC Marketing

Position Overview:

We are currently recruiting for a Head of APAC Marketing to join our Global Distributors team. This role will report to the Managing Director Global Distributors, and we will consider candidates based in Singapore or Hong Kong. This role will work to achieve agreed objectives on sales, marketing, margin, and cost by implementing the strategic direction and vision for the APAC region. You will have responsibility for marketing support functions in the region with specific focus on China, Japan and S.Korea. The role will work alongside the GMs in the region from a central perspective to drive the strategic commercial and marketing plans to support the 5-year plan.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with senior leaders to develop the strategic direction for our brands.
  • Input in-to central/Global strategy and ensure that central approach is implemented/executed to a world class level as we build our business more Globally.
  • Manage significant global marketing budgets and agree spend in line with commercial intent across all channels (trade and DTC).
  • Input into the global brand/comms strategy - building regional marketing go to market plans across all channels.
  • Develop and own the Global store experience proposition for the brand.
  • Ensure that commercial and marketing execution in all key markets are driving agreed business growth (sales).
  • Oversee global seasonal launches, define what future launches look like in a digital/hybrid led landscape and work with the GMs to define commercial requirements.
  • Develop our approach to our digital selling and innovation on a Global level.
  • Act as a cross-functional lead of global projects alongside Head of Brand/Comms.
  • Drive and lead our of Wax for Life and key sustainability marketing and commercial initiatives.
  • Drive the commercial management of Global collaborations.
  • Manage the commercial SMU strategy on a Global level, using commercial insights from all markets.
  • Input into the global Seasonal Brand Strategy on all levels.
  • Input into the seasonal global commercial calendar and take full responsibility with marketing leads in markets to ensure activation which drives sales and profit targets.

Skills and Experience:

  • Worked within a marketing department for an extensive period, holding senior positions, with expert level experience of local market and global execution.
  • Experience of similar organisations in a global marketplace, ideally clothing lifestyle brand.
  • Ability to present at an advanced level to gain ownership.
  • Demonstrates high standards of attention to detail.
  • Able to work well under pressure, remain calm and demonstrate this style to others.
  • Information Technology including Outlook, Word, Excel & Internet packages.
  • Ability to challenge conventional methodology and deliver new ways of working.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build strong relationships.
  • Ability to lead by example to motivate, generate commitment and enthusiasm.
  • Flexible methods with a positive approach to change
  • Extremely self-motivated
