The Operations Manager is responsible for overall management of manufacturing operations, material resource planning, scheduling & deliveries, through-put and cycle/lead-times, production quality, productivity, resource utilization & machinery upkeep, people/talent management.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for production through-put and cycle/lead-times, quality assurance, and delivery timeliness.
- Responsible for effective management of production costs.
- Responsible for factory operations, including ensuring safety & 5S, utilization & maintenance of machinery, and maximizing effective usage of factory space.
- Lead and manage groups of direct reporting staff, engineer, supervisor, and workers.
- Drive productivity improvements.
- Provide technical support to sales and project team.
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 8 years of working experience in a high-mix low volume manufacturing
- Preferably in the metal fabrication and/or machining environment
- Experience with welding, fitting, machining and mechanical component assembly, etc
- Knowledge in MRP system
- Well verse n Microsoft Office
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated and ability to work under pressure
