Our Mission
The APAC GCS Finance team partners with sales and cross-functional leadership to provide analytical input and recommendations on key business decisions. We are responsible for core operations such as forecasting and budgeting, and act as a key advisor to the leadership team on topics such as business performance, risks and opportunities, market acceleration plans and resource allocation.
The Role:
- From ensuring flawlessly smooth operations to enabling rich insights on business performance and shaping the development of regional priorities, the Finance organization is an important advisor to the business and a guardian of long-term value creation. In this role, you will work with senior sales leaders Customer - ----Solutions, act as a trusted advisor and a guardian and own end-to-end finance partnering on regional business priorities.
With strong analytical skills and presentation skills, you will distill crisp insights on complex, ambiguous topics, helping the APAC GCS senior management team make better business decisions. You will operate with a high degree of independence and collaborate closely with the GCS finance leadership and central finance teams based in the US to drive an effective business partnership. You will engage closely with and influence a wide range of stakeholders in Google’s global, regional and local teams, as well as senior management, across Finance, Sales, and Strategy and Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide management with clear insights and recommendations into drivers of revenue, market trends, risks, and opportunities leading to revenue enhancing sales & product actions.
- Engage in deep dive analyses to understand business performance, and provide concise summaries and recommendations to management.
- Support critical financial planning processes such as revenue forecasting, sales target setting, revenue calls preparation, and sales performance evaluations.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop business cases / strategic plans backed by relevant analyses and insights
Minimum qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in a quantitative field of study preferred with a strong academic record.
- 3 years experience in strategy consulting, corporate finance or similar commercial analytical role
- Sound business judgement and problem solving, and analytical skills
- Fluency in English
Preferred qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills: ability to craft and deliver clear, coherent and concise messages to senior business leaders
- Leadership skills and ability to collaborate effectively with dispersed cross-functional teams
- Strategic thinking and an aptitude for problem solving,
- Advanced proficiency in spreadsheets/ modeling. Familiarity with, and/or enthusiasm for SQL and working with large volumes of complex data

Financial performance metrics Ability to create, track and manage KPIs and other financial performance metrics.
Financial research and analysis
The ability to systematically gather and analyze data from a variety of internal and external sources (e.g. external valuations,10Ks, benchmarking, commodity movements) and draw conclusions, generate alternative solutions and evaluate outcomes.
This includes the ability to add value to business planning and strategies.
Financial technical aptitude Experience with SQL Ability to quickly learn and/or use a financial system/technology (e.g., SQL, or relevant systems), understand and clearly explain familiar finance related technologies, solve or analyze technical issues or provide useful technical insights when needed.
