Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Manager with project tasks as assigned.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to determine project requirements and specifications for audio visual systems.
  • Design and develop audio visual system schematics, floor plans, and wiring diagrams.
  • To be fully involved and oversee installation of audio visual systems, including equipment placement, cabling and integration with other systems.
  • Assist with procurement of project materials.
  • Update technical documentation.
  • Provide weekly job progress reports to all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all audio visual systems meet industry standards and project requirements.
  • Verify quality of work performed by internal resource and subcontractors.
  • Test and troubleshoot audio visual systems to identify and resolve any issues.
  • Continually develop the process of System commissioning and handover and implement that process across all project sites.
  • Excellent / Accurate interpretation of any provided technical documentation to ensure on-site installation works are carried out correctly and accurately.
  • To ensure the termination and connection of all cabling and equipment is carried out to the highest standard, labelled and installed neatly in accordance with the standards.
  • Follow-up directly on any issues or technical queries with manufacturers.
  • Provide technical support to clients, including training on system operation and maintenance.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, including system manuals, as-built drawings and testing reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies and best practices for audio visual system design and installation.
  • To provide feedback in the form of project completion reports or lessons learnt debriefing sessions.

Job Requirements:

  • Must possess Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering or related education background.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience as a Project Engineer or Coordinator in the industry or related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in audio visual system design, installation, and maintenance preferred.
  • Knowledge of audio visual system components, including video projectors, sound systems, led walls, and control systems.
  • Software knowledge of Microsoft Office is a must.
  • Familiarity with CAD design software, such as AutoCAD, BRICSCAD and SketchUp.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites.
  • Possession of safety certificate preferred (eg. WSQ Supervise Construction Works for WSH, Apply WSH in Construction Sites)
  • Possession of a Class 3 driving licence (Manual) will be added advantage.
  • Team player and can work independently.
  • Drive to exceed expectations and deliver excellence.
  • On-the-job training will be provided.
