Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Manager with project tasks as assigned.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to determine project requirements and specifications for audio visual systems.
- Design and develop audio visual system schematics, floor plans, and wiring diagrams.
- To be fully involved and oversee installation of audio visual systems, including equipment placement, cabling and integration with other systems.
- Assist with procurement of project materials.
- Update technical documentation.
- Provide weekly job progress reports to all internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure that all audio visual systems meet industry standards and project requirements.
- Verify quality of work performed by internal resource and subcontractors.
- Test and troubleshoot audio visual systems to identify and resolve any issues.
- Continually develop the process of System commissioning and handover and implement that process across all project sites.
- Excellent / Accurate interpretation of any provided technical documentation to ensure on-site installation works are carried out correctly and accurately.
- To ensure the termination and connection of all cabling and equipment is carried out to the highest standard, labelled and installed neatly in accordance with the standards.
- Follow-up directly on any issues or technical queries with manufacturers.
- Provide technical support to clients, including training on system operation and maintenance.
- Create and maintain project documentation, including system manuals, as-built drawings and testing reports.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies and best practices for audio visual system design and installation.
- To provide feedback in the form of project completion reports or lessons learnt debriefing sessions.
Job Requirements:
- Must possess Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering or related education background.
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience as a Project Engineer or Coordinator in the industry or related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in audio visual system design, installation, and maintenance preferred.
- Knowledge of audio visual system components, including video projectors, sound systems, led walls, and control systems.
- Software knowledge of Microsoft Office is a must.
- Familiarity with CAD design software, such as AutoCAD, BRICSCAD and SketchUp.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Willingness to travel to project sites.
- Possession of safety certificate preferred (eg. WSQ Supervise Construction Works for WSH, Apply WSH in Construction Sites)
- Possession of a Class 3 driving licence (Manual) will be added advantage.
