Research Officer, Data Management (BII)

Justification Request:

The successful candidate will join the Data Management Group at the Bioinformatics Institute (BII) within the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). The Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics (OHDSI), Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership (OMOP) Common Data Model (CDM) is the national data standardisation framework adopted by Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH) for real world evidence studies. This is a functional role that combines data management and data science skills for OMOP data curation & data analytics of national strategic research datasets.

Job Summary:

Support with the data curation and data analytics of national strategic research datasets based on OHDSI OMOP framework (multi-modal data integration, data cleaning, data curation, data quality assessments and data analytics) - https://www.ohdsi.org/

Job Responsibilities:

- Implementation of OHDSI OMOP framework across the national strategic research datasets such as the Growing Up in Singapore Towards healthy Outcomes (GUSTO) cohort study, https://gustodatavault.sg/omop/
- Develop and implement data management strategies for standard Common Data Model, vocabulary/ontology, mapping tools, methods and documentation.
- Develop and implement proactive quality control audits/quality management plans across datasets to ensure data mapping accuracies and completeness.
- Generate comprehensive reports and visualisation dashboards to effectively communicate data insights to stakeholders, including investigators, physicians and regulatory bodies.

Job Requirements:

- A Bachelor/Master Degree in Public Health, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science of related field.
- Good programming skills (Python, R).
- Knowledge/experience on Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Clinical Data Management Practices (GCDMP) guidelines, OHDSI OMOP Common Data Model and regulatory data submissions.
- Good team player and communication skills for collaborative research.
- At least 5 years’ relevant experience.
