[What the role is]
DEPUTY / ASSISTANT MANAGER, DATA GOVERNANCE (1-YR TEMP CONTRACT)
[What you will be working on]
You will be part of the team to supporting the IT strategy, governance and compliance activities with focus on supporting LTA’s data governance framework and management processes. You will be involved in:
•Reviewing and enhancing the LTA’s data governance policy and processes to ensure effective management of data security, privacy and quality.
•Deriving business insights from large and real-time datasets for strategic planning and operational efficiency. Working closely with stakeholders to define requirements, mine and analyse data, integrate data from various data sources, and deploy data pipelines in support of organization analytical needs.
•Acquiring, cleansing and distributing datasets. Ensure data integration and conversion (from across various databases/systems within LTA where necessary). Supporting data clarifications (accuracy) on error records. Track and maintain data lineage for the datasets.
•Maintaining service level agreements with relevant parties to obtain necessary data for timely derivation and provision of datasets. Ensuring datasets meet the standards and requirements set out in the service level agreements established. Review and update metadata for core datasets regularly (e.g. SG-DRM).
•Supporting incident response swiftly and effectively for data related incidents.
•Develop and build apps to support data-related functions or projects. Work with internal and external parties through LTA’s DataMall or other platforms.
[What we are looking for]
•Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer science/Engineering discipline
•At least 2 years working experience
•Good understanding of LTA’s vision, strategic directions and objectives.
•Ability to engage and persuade stakeholders from different groups on data management related matters.
•Industry experience using common scripting language (e.g. R, Python, SQL) and visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Qilksense)
•Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills to communicate complex data quality issues in a clear, precise, and actionable manner.
•Knowledge of agile and scrum practices, mobile app development and web development languages and concepts will be an advantage
•Good interpersonal, communications, persuasion and presentation skills.
•High drive and self-motivated. Ability to think out of the box and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
